About
Why PayPlea exists
PayPlea started from a simple observation: many people would happily help someone with a bill if they could understand the story and send help directly, without a platform taking control of the money. PayPlea is a project by ayudantedigital.es (opens in a new tab), created by Rafael Aguirre in Seville.

Principles
People before ledgers
Discovery focuses on human stories rather than a public list of payments.
No custody
Money goes to the recipient’s own provider account. PayPlea never holds it.
Private evidence
Receipts protect helpers and recipients, so they stay private.
Honest progress
Pending and confirmed amounts are always visually and textually distinct.
Moderated by design
Requests are reviewed before publication; reports and blocks are first-class tools.
Free for users
Optional support purchases fund development. They unlock nothing.
Architecture at a high level
The mobile app runs on its own backend. This website is separate: it never connects to app data and only stores encrypted early-access emails. Payments happen entirely with external providers.
Why direct links
Holding other people’s money would turn PayPlea into a financial intermediary with very different obligations and risks. Direct links keep the model simple and keep control with the people involved.
