Direct person-to-person help, explained
Direct help means sending money to a specific person for a specific need, rather than to an organisation that decides how to use it. It is fast and personal, and it puts more responsibility on both people involved.

What makes help “direct”
In direct help the money goes from the helper’s account to the recipient’s account with no intermediary pooling it. On PayPlea, that happens through the recipient’s own external payment link with a provider such as PayPal or Revolut.
Benefits
- The recipient receives the money as soon as the provider settles it.
- You can read the story and decide for yourself.
- No platform-held fund that can be frozen or misallocated by the platform.
Trade-offs
- Personal transfers usually lack purchase protection.
- You rely on moderation and your own judgement, not on an audited charity.
- It is not tax-deductible.
How PayPlea adds structure
Requests are moderated before publication, receipts are private and reviewed, and progress separates pending and confirmed amounts. Reports and blocking are always available. See how it works.
Safety box
Only send money you are comfortable giving. Check the recipient name shown by the provider, never pay with gift cards or crypto at someone’s request, and remember that many personal transfers cannot be reversed. PayPlea cannot recover money sent with an external provider.
